AREA 52 – DARK AMBIENT SAMPLES contains 99 declassified samples ready to be revealed. This collection brings together synthetic ambiences, evolving atmospheres, and massive drones. The pack also includes menacing tones, enigmatic melodic sounds, as well as textures, impacts, and transitions.

Some atmospheres run for more than one minute, with either steady backgrounds or slow variations in texture, tension, and density. Several are also provided as construction kits, with their individual elements included separately. The files are clearly named to make identifying and selecting sounds easier.

Shaping the Sound

The sounds in this dark ambient sample pack are supplied in 24-bit / 96 kHz format, allowing for extensive processing while preserving excellent audio quality. You can shape, twist, and even alter these sounds to create hundreds of exclusive variations while maintaining outstanding sound definition.

Creative Process

AREA 52 – DARK AMBIENT SAMPLES was created using hardware synthesizers, including the Waldorf Iridium, Sequential Pro 3, and Nord Modular G2. The raw recordings were then processed with external hardware before being edited and extensively reshaped. The process also incorporated granular processing, spectral processing, saturation, and waveshaping to create original textures.
