How do I access the files after purchase?

After payment, your files are available right away in your customer account, under the heading Your orders. Open the order to download the ZIP files. The confirmation email also gives you access to the order.

How compatible are the sounds?

The sounds available are compatible with all DAWs and video editing software that supports the WAV format. They are also suitable for video games developed withmost game engines and middleware. However, it may be necessary to convert them to 44.1 or 48 kHz.

What’s included in the demo?

The demo contains only a selection of the individual sounds included in the pack. No additional effects or editing have been applied to the demo.

MOTHERSHIPS – SCIENCE FICTION SOUND EFFECTS includes 192 designed sounds. You’ll find command bridge, computer room, and engine room ambiences, along with drones and reactor rumbles. The collection also includes computer beeps, radar pings, alarms and warning signals, transmissions, and data transfer sounds. You’ll also find mechanical device sounds, energy effects, and lasers.

Creative Possibilities

The giants that travel through space are built from the inside out. MOTHERSHIPS – SCIENCE FICTION SOUND EFFECTS provides ready-to-use elements for building the sonic interiors of massive spacecraft. Create the ambience of a command bridge or engine room and design sounds for navigation consoles, radar scans, data exchanges, ship-to-ship communications, and onboard alerts. The mechanical device sounds can be adapted for opening and closing doors, rotating turrets, or operating other motorized mechanisms.

Shaping the Sound

Provided as 24-bit / 44.1 kHz WAV files, the sounds can be used as they are or reworked directly in your DAW. Stretch, pitch, or reshape them to create new variations and push them far beyond their original form.

Creative Process

MOTHERSHIPS – SCIENCE FICTION SOUND EFFECTS was created using hardware synthesizers, including the Access Virus C, E-mu Proteus, Roland JP-8080, and Roland SH-201, along with numerous field recordings. Our experienced sound design team recorded servos, hydraulic systems, and a variety of materials.

Recordings of machinery, ventilation systems, radio hums, and room tones were among the sources used to create the ambiences and drones. These sources were then processed, layered, and mixed to create the designed sounds in the collection.
